can any one advise on how to connect sat box to dvd recorder to tv through rgb outlet?
Would be of assistance to know what make / model the DVD recorder is, also how many scart sockets the TV has.
The reason for requiring to know this is, that your DVD recorder may not have a scart loopthrough restore button (necessary to enable you to view Sky whilst recording from the DVD's own tuner) as if it hasnt, (most likely not!) the fact that you want to use RGB means that a two way splitter would have to be used from your NTL boxes AV1 scart, as only AV1 can output RGB.
The idea being that one lead from the splitter would go to the TV's AV1 - and another from the splitter to the DVDs input.
If you did not require RGB, then a normal connection of sat box AV1 to TV AV1, and a sat box AV2 to DVD recorder input could have been used.
If it's a NTL box it's cable...not satt.
Usually scart out from the NTL box to AV2 on DVDR.
DVDR AV1 to TV AV1.
All set to RGB if your equipment supports it.
Missed the fact of the text being at variance from the header, however the procedure should basically be the same provided the NTL box uses the same scart configuration as sat boxes.
