Just got a Pioneer 585. My previous player (Samsung 709) was connected via a ProV scaler to the Panasonic AE100 projector. Does anybody think that the component output direct from the player will get a better picture. I'll need about 15-20ft of cable so I don't really want to go out and spend that money if I don't need to. Interestingly the 585 has no S video output that I can see - just RGB and component. So I'm connected to the ProV via composite cable - what got me thinking that the component might be better. Sound connections - I have a coaxial cable to the receiver - is that all I need for playback on SACD and DVD-A disca? I'll be down the local store to get some discs. Also... anybody any general tips on setting these lil beauties up? I guess they'll be simialr to the 575 no?
