I've not really thought about this in any great detail and only got
round to looking up my TVs connectivity today but I thought I'd throw
it out for people to suggest my options.

    I currently have:

    Sony STR-DB930 Amp
    Sony DVP-S735 DVD Player
    Sony VTX-D800U Freeview box
    Sony KV-28L36U TV
    Sony VPL-HS20 LCD Projector
    X-Box

    My connections are as follows:

    S735 to DB930: S-video, composite, digital coax
    S735 to VPL-HS20: RGB via supplied multi-cable
D800U to DB930: SCART - composite, digital optical
X-Box: Advanced AV lead, SCART connection to D800 'video' input, digitial optical to DB930 (DVD Optical In)
DB930 to 28L36U: S-Video to SCART, composite to SCART

The TV has 2 SCART connections one of which is RGB. In an ideal world
the DVD, D800U and X-Box would all send their RGB feeds to the
projector with the D800U and the X-Box also sending RGB to the TV. The S735 can connect to the TV via S-Video as I usually watch it via the projector...

The DB930 doesn't have RGB switching!

So here is the question, what is the best way for me to distribute all 3
sources as I want, ideally still working in conjuction with
    switching sound?

I'm thinking that the most economical/sensible option will be to buy a new
amp, but I want to wait until HDMI/DVI switching is standard. I'd
love to pay £4000 for Denon's beast but I can't afford it...

    What do people think?

    Thanks,

    Ben

Having read about some more in the various different forums I think this is a potential option using products from J.S. Technology:

D800U and X-Box into Master SCART Controller (MSC) (£49)
MSC into Active VIDEO Buffer (AVB) (£45)
    AVB to KV-26L36U
AVB to RGB to Component (YUV) Video Converter (£145)
RGB to Component Converter to Master COMPONENT Controller (MCC) (£55)
    S735 to MCC
    MCC to VPL-HS20

This will give me a single RGB-SCART feed to the TV and a single component feed to the projector from both the X Box and the D800U. The S735 will still connect directly (via the MCC) to the HS20 and via my DB930 to the TV over S-Video.

Add on 3 good quality (2 x 1m and a 3m) and the whole lot will come in just under £400!?!?!?
