    Hello,

I've just bought a brand new widescreen Panasonic televisual Beast and it's got a port at the back to connect a modem as well as a computer serial port.

The instructions just say, "this is for connecting a modem to your television", or "this is for connecting a computer to your television".

Is there anything useful I can do with these ports?

    Cheers.

Does the TV have an integrated digital tuner?

Then thats why dza ... the Digital Tuners in most TVs can be used with a modem for interactive services like on Sky ... except that there arn't any!

    So it's completely useless?
That's a shame, I was hoping there'd be some interesting hacks or something.

What about the computer serial port?
Can I do anything with that?
    Cheers.

The rs232 serial port on the back of my idTV is for 'engineering upgrades' and is also redundant as my set can (when I get it back) now receive OTA updates.
