connecting JBL 5.0 multibeam to 55A80j

I've recently purchased both the jbl soundbar and sony tv
I'm struggling to get them to talk to each other
The soundbar is set up and connected to the tv via eArc and to the home wifi for casting
I can get the soundbar to play audio from the tv but i have to manually select audio system on speakers menu
This all works fine but the soundbar goes into standby after about 15mins, this doesnt happen with casting music
Also i cant get the sony remote to control the bar via CEC
What settings do i have to change/what can i do ?

I'll answer my own question in case anyone has the same issue
Now fixed the problem, had to factory reset bar(even though new) ... everything now working ok
Had previously tried unplugging to reset, trying different hdmi cable, manually updating firmware via usb - all of which made no diff

Pleased it's sorted. I have a Harman Kardon Enchant 800 soundbar which is similar. I had an issue with it turning on by itself. Finally resolved by going into my XH9505 menu network and Internet then turning off remote start. If you having a similar issue I would try that setting.
