I have an HS2 to which I would like to add surround sound (an additional dvd player would be useful hence the sc5).

I use rgb for all my connections except vcr, and note the sc5 has an rgb scart (useful because I have a sonel scart for backup copies)

How would you hook up the above setup.

currently sky tv (rgb) to hs2 av2 (rgb) hs2 av1 (rgb) to tv 1 (rgb)
sky video to vcr 2 , vcr 1 to tv 2 (not rgb enabled)

ie, how would the sc5 be added on to enable optimum picture quality.

For the main the dvd part of the sc5 would not be used, so would an optical connection from the hs2 allow 5.1 via dolby prologic II., unless playback was better than on hs2.

Also, link the sky and video phonos to the sc5 direct too - would this give 5.1

    Any help appreciated.

Not sold on the all in one system yet, so if seperates would be better, for the same money, i'm interested. (though as I said the extra dvd player with rgb scart is useful for backups via sonel scart)

One final thought, does the dvd player playback as true ntsc too (via s vid or composite?) assuming m/region.
