connecting dvd to pc - how

    hiya,

    i have a pioneer 440hx dvd recorder .

    my pc has a nvidia 6200 card and i have a samsung 205BW monitor.

    I also have an old hauppauge wintv usb box.

    i would like to be able (if possible) to watch digital output from the dvd recorder on my moitor.

    what is the best way to go about it it at all possible,

    If this has composite or S-Video inputs that'll do.

    thanks for the reply..

    it has got s-video input but i get no colour..it's B&W

    straight s-video from dvd recorder to wintv box..

    i think i have a scart switch box which has an s-video connection, would that be better to plug into the dvd-r ?

    The software for the WinTV is more than likely configured to be accepting composite.

    Which is why it is displaying in B&W.
