    Hi all,

Please forgive me if these question is pretty daft.........

What I want to do is connect me DVD player SCART to the BNC input on my monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 900sl+). I have just happened on some cable here which would seem to fit the bill.

What quality can I expect from this? Currently I am only using a 21" Grundig TV which I need to lose due to space restrictions in my new uni house, would this be better worse? Is it as simple as plugging and playing, or is other equipment required?

Overall general opinions required please - sorry if this seems rushed I am just leaving the office!!!

    Thanks in advance

Unless your dvd player outputs VGA then it isn't possible. That is unless you spent £125 on an RGB to VGA converter and another £50+ on a scart to VGA or BNC cable.
My suggestion would be find a way to make room!

Do like I am currently and run everything off a PC, makes life very easy, and you get superb picture quality.

I am using an iiyama 19" CRT.

    Hi All,

    What about a cheesebox ??

    Chesebox

    or maybe Other Converters ??

Does this help you ?? It'll be able to convert comp. or s-video to VGA. So you could use a large VGA monitor 19" ??

    Cheers

I have this one: http://www.rgbtosvideo.com/ to drive a plasma, but it will drive any VGA computer monitor.
Main advantage is it uses the RGB signals from the SCART, not composite / s-video, so gives the best result from a DVD player.
