Hi..not sure this is the right forum, but anyway...

Quick question...I have a spare Panasonic blu-ray player, and was wondering if there was any way I could connect it up to my PC?

    Thanks and regards,
    Clive

The terms 'blu-ray player' and 'PC' can both refer to several types of hardware and some combinations will work and some won't.

If your blu-ray player is a unit designed to play video discs and output to a screen then you'd need to connect it directly to your PC's monitor, assuming it's a desktop.

If your PC is a laptop, tablet or something else with built in screen then you'd need some sort of video capture device, and HDCP would complicate things. It'd likely be possible, but cheaper and easier just to buy a computer blu-ray drive or additional screen.

If your blu-ray player is a computer drive to begin with and you want to connect it to a computer without a drive bay then you can get external USB caddies for both full sized and slim drives.
