I am awaiting delivery of a Tosh XF355 1080p LCD, Sony HTSS1100 Home Cinema Amplifier, Sky HD, and Sony 300 Blue Ray player. I need help on the best way to connect all of them up to make full use of HD vision and 5.1 sound from all sources.

    TV has 3 HDMI connections
Home cinema has 3 HDMI connections (2 in and 1 out), 2 optical
Blue Ray has 1 HDMI and 1 Optical
Sky HD has 1 HDMI and 1 Optical

Am I right in thinking the best way to connect them is the following:

Home cinema to TV via HDMI cable
Sky HD to Home Cinema via HDMI cable
Blue Ray to Home Cinema via HDMI cable

or should I make use of Optical for audio as well, so in addition to above:

Sky HD to Amp via Optical
Blue Ray to Amp via Optical

Please can someone help me, I have searched the web and these forums and cannot find exact advice I need.

    Many thanks in advance.

just use the hdmi's plus an audio connection from the tv if you ever use the tv's tuners.
