connecting a video

hi to you all,whats the best way to connect a video player to my sky box and av amp,the video only has scart connectors no phono or anything else.my wife would like to record of the sky box,and i would like to hear plyback in the best way possible.
any help would be great.

The Sky box should have 2 scart socket & hopefully so does the TV & VCR. If they all do then connect as follows

Scart leads:
Sky TV out to TV RGB scart (normally AV1)
Sky VCR out to VCR
VCR out to TV

Phono leads:
TV phono outs to AV receiver
Sky phono outs to AV receiver (or just use output from TV to AV)

The above assumes that the TV is Nicam (and hopefully so is the VCR).
