I need to connect my playstation2 to my new plasma screen.

I have a non RGB scart available as well as S Video and Composite Video.

Which gives the best picture quality?

You must have other connection options available? Non-RGB scart, s-video and composite are all very poor, and will look terrible on a plasma. You splashed out all that money, why not make it look decent? There must be some other way? :nono:

Can you not use the pass-through on the DVD recorder? Sky+ > DVDRec > Plasma on one RGB, then the PS2 on the other RGB?

I always liked to run a scart to the TV direct from the Sky+ (better picture).

I have been looking at the component cable input and this seems to be a right can of worms and I am more confused now than I was before!

Should I buy a Monster Cable Gamelink 400 + Lightwave 100 cable or is there some compatibility issues.

I thought the Sky+ box had 2 scart outputs and no throught scart (I'm at work, I cannot check).

SKy boxes are marked like that but they do indeed work as a passthrough. In fact I havn't found any equpiment with 2 scart sockets that will output RGB on the main one which doesn't pass the signal though. :)

Thats a good cable choice, if a bit of an expensive one. The offical sony component cable will do a good job for a fraction of the cost and any Toslink optical cable will carry the sound. if you've got a component socket available on your plasma then i'd strongly recommend using it.
