Hi all,

Im moving towards finishing my games room off.

I can get my hands on an Epson TW3200 for silly money brand new in the box

Now i thought about a soundbar as i dont want the expense of a seperate AVR + Speakers + Sub as the room will only get minimal use and wont warrant a beasty setup (by games room i mean Pool table/ Darts board etc rather than Home Cinema, PS4 etc)

I am thinking the Sony HT-CT260H soundbar

Looking at the manual it says the following:

If you connect the system to a TV compatible with the Audio Return Channel (ARC) technology via an HDMI input jack with “ARC” indicated, you do not need to connect a digital optical cable.

I cant find any mention of the TW3200 having ARC

So does this mean in layman's terms if i connect the Epson to the SB via HDMI i wont get any sound?

PJ doesnt have an Optical else.

Thanks for clearing up my confusion.

The Epson has two HDMI inputs, it doesn't have any outputs. Your soundbar should be connected to the Audio Out of whatever source of what you're planning to project i.e. skybox, blu ray player PS3 etc.

So I optical from sb to sky box and then hdmi from sky box to PJ?

This will give me sound without having to use arc?

Just want to be sure before I go ahead and agree to buying the projector

Thankyou

Optical from your source (sky or player) and HDMI To PJ, the PJ does not have ARC.
