Connect Additional Monitor via USB

I have a Dell XPS One 24 which is an all in one machine and has no video port to connect an additional monitor.

This PC is in my study but I would like to connect to a TV in another room. The PC is connected to a wired network and additionally there is a monitor lead close to that pc terminating at the TV.

What I have been trying to do use a usb display adapter from the pc to connect to the VGA cable and then onto the TV however the 2 types of adaptors I have tried do not support the resolution on the pc which is 1900 x 1200 and as such causes some display problems.

I have other kit such as an xbox and WD Live to view some media on the TV but would really like to be able to use the TV as a dual screen for the pc.

Are there any other ways to achieve this aim or can anyone recommend a better adaptor.
