Connect 32LXD700 to Sky Digibox?

Hi all

I recently bought a Panasonic 32LXD700. As you can imagine, I want to use the best cable available to maximise the picture and sound quality for my tv. I have connected my tv to a standard Sky Digibox (scart connectors only) via a scart-to-scart cable.

1) Is this my only option or is there a better quality option available?
Such as the "Component Video to Scart" Cable
http://www.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tvcables/PGV373.html?id=zMTXVRG5? Will this work? Any other cables?

2) If not and a scart-to-scart cable is my only option, will I lose picture/sound
quality with a longer (3M) cable compared to a shorter (1.5M) cable?

Your advice would be most welcome and help me make my final decision.

Thanks
Scott

Your only real choice is to use a SCART to SCART cable, just go into the SKY box picture settings and make sure it is set to output RGB not Pal and 16:9 not 4:3. That Scart to component cable will not work. I use a Fully wired QED cable which made a noticable difference for me over stock cheap supermarket brands. I brought this cable for my father-in-law which also gave good results. http://www.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tvcables/XHT251-150.html

I am tempted to upgrade to a Sky HD digibox but not unless the picture quality is much better than scart-to-scart via my Sky SD digibox.

Considering the number of LCD TVs with HDMI connections, I'm surprised no-one has made a Standard Definition Sky Digibox with HDMI connections???
