Confusion re sharing an account with a 2nd switch

First of all I will delete this thread if somebody can direct me to a similar one. So apologies in advance if that's the case.

Basically, my brother has just bought a Switch and I'd like to add his new switch to my account so that he will be able to play my digital games. I can't figure out if this is a good idea or not!? The only other solution would be to periodically swap our consoles to play each others games.

My understanding is that my Switch would be the primary and his the secondary. I appreciate that only one console can play a digital game at a time even if you wanted to play separate titles. However, I could still play a game off of a cart whilst he plays a digital game?

He would have a separate profile and separate game saves and that if it didn't work out we could just separate them and have 2 individual accounts.

Would I be able to play against him at MK8 online as we both have carts?

Could we play a 2 player online co-op digital game such as S.O.Rage 4?

If there are any other issues I'd love to hear them. I have watched a couple of YouTube vids and am still unsure.

This seems like a fairly comprehensive guide on how to game share on the switch, seems like it doable but a little long winded.

hope this helps
