    Forgive what is most probably a dumb question. I have read the FAQs and numerous posts with differing opinions and am still not sure of how to go.

    I have two sources...
    NTL digibox, 2 scart outputs.
    DVD/DIVX player Scart out, svideo out and comp video out.

    AV amp Pioneer VSX 1014S

    Panasonic PW7, 1 scart input.

    Easiest way seems to be using a scart switcher box, one scart output from ntl will then also breakout to give audio to the amp. Digital sound will come direct from the DVD player to the amp.

    I am assuming a scart switcher from vivanco will be fine? Is there a better way I am missing?

    Thanks in advance

    When i was in a similar siutation with too many inputs, i used the AV Amp to do it... fed the Digital Box signal in via S-Video, and the DVD Player, then use a single lead - in my case S-Video to SCART to connect from the amp to the Screen. You will need audio connections between the two units and the AV Amp but then when you change input on the AV amp the picture changes automiatically on the screen adn the audio does too...

    Not sure if your amp can do this, or if the idea appeals, but it worked fine for me :)

    I have considered this, my amp supports switching.

    It does mean that I will have to use a scart to svideo converter to the amp and then a supervideo to scart converter again when it goes to the panasonic screen from the amp. Will this lose me picture quality unnecessarily?

    Soooo....am I best off with scart -> svideo -> amp -> svideo -> scart -> PW7

    or scart switcher box?

    Is there likely to be a difference in picture ? as going via the amp will make things simpler.....
