Got my Wii today. Is there any utility to configure or calibrate the Wiimote? It seems ridiculous to me that it wouldn't be an option anywhere...

You see, when I aim my Wiimote at the screen, the pointer doesn't actually appear where I'm aiming. If I put the sensor bar below the TV, the pointer appears about 4 inches above wherever I'm pointing, so I have to point at the lower section of the TV in order for the pointer to be in the center of the screen. If the sensor bar is above the TV, the pointer appears about 4 inches below wherever I point. It's like the only way I'd be able to get it centered properly would be I the sensor bar were in the middle of the TV screen, which is obviously impossible.

    Heeeeeelp!

there is a sensor bar positioning option and a sensor bar sensitivity option in the wii options which you access in the main menu

you need to be more than a meter away ideally

the sensitivity is for changing how far away the remote can be used

try to make sure the sensor bar isn't too far below or above the TV

Yes, I'm aware of both of those, and set them accordingly.

That's not what I mean. I'm talking about the actual position of the pointer on the screen. There must be a way to calibrate it, surely?

The sensor bar is currently sitting on top of the TV, and I'm about 1.5 metres away from it.
