Has anyone got any tips/ideas on how to conceal speaker cable between were it comes out from under the carpet and goes up the wall to the speakers

I will be wall mounting the rear channel Kef Eggs on plasterboard walls

Other than chasing out a channel, what other ways are neat?

    Cheers

How about routing a groove out of some dado rail and running that around the room - good for speakers mounted mid-way up wall ?
Could also run behind coving if you don't have any/it needs replacing - high speakers.

I've used wooden coving running up the corner of the room which i then paint in the same colour as the wall

You can see this on the second page of my home cinema link in my sig
