computer woes .

    Must be something that i have done,pc s backup every week but lately need to put blank dvd in the drive for the backup to complete ,now this cant be the only way ?have 3 laptops to backup so dvds everywhere ,i thought with backups just overwrote the last data ?thanks if you can help.:lease:

    That'll be entirely down to your backup program and how you've got it set up.

    If it previously was overwriting DVDs and now isn't then are you sure you're giving it rewriteable disks? DVD+R and DVD-R disks can only be used once.

    Well never used DVDs backing up until this year ,just let the laptop run itself ,but now requires disc ,stick or external drive ,just assumed it overwrote the previous backup ?
