Computer on LCD TV via Component?

I hope this is the correct forum for this post. I apologise if it isn't!

I'd like to have my computer running through my LCD TV, which only has DVI inputs available. But this DVI input is already being used by a component switch box - so i can add extra connectivity to the TV.

I was wondering if it's possible to run a DVI - Component cable from my computer into the switch box and then out of the switch box via Component - DVI cable. So i can have everything connected and not have to change wires around all the time. Will this work?

Thanks in advance.

Hi
I am sorry, Iam struggling a bit to follow what you've described. But as a general rule, the more connections and changes from analogue to digital and digital to analogue formats in a signal stream, the higher the signal loss and poorer the quality. (component signals are analogue signals) I would strongly suggest connecting your pc with the lcd using DVI using one lead for the best picture quality.
