I am considering using a computer DVD drive and the "all in wonder" video card as a home theatre source. My feeling is the video is better using a VGA of DVI input compared to component or s-video. The advantages of the computer are the ability to use the VGA or DVI input to the projector, but I'm worried that the quality, both video and audio, may not be what I can get from a good progressive scan consumer DVD player. Are progressive scan computer DVDs available?

I'm new to this and would like some advice on the best set up. Help.

    ...Alan

Alan, this isn't a topic I'm very 'up' on I'm afraid. I think you're in the wrong place anyway. Try the HTPC forum on this site, or as you're from Canada, wouldn't the AVS forum be better for you?

    Good luck,
