I said before I enjoyed the TAG more with classical music, but the Krell is better with everything else...

Well, the other day I remembered that the Krell has 3 compression settings: MAX, (no compression), Normal and Night, (high compression for when you dont want to bother your neighbours)...

So I tried Normal with classical music and, voila, more coherence, more like live concerts...

Interesting, what do you think...

I always used MAX, no compression makes sence to me, but now I have to admit a bit of compression sounds nicer with classical music, so I use Normal for it...

Sorry, I mean't mode as in Dolby PL2, Stereo etc? I can only think that it works like Dolby's Dynamic Range Control and at lower levels makes it easier to hear the finer details and ambient sounds.
