I need to feed a Composite Video signal into a S-Video socket.
I have seen in Maplins a converter that appears to just change the socket type rather than converting the video signal.

Is that all I need to do or will the S-Video socket not recognise the composite video signal

Any advice, or pointers in terms of equipment required, please let me know.

The Maplin one will 'work' but they're pretty poor, so if picture quality is of concern to you then it won't really do the job.

Tributaries do a good inline composite to s-video convertor though, called C2S. You should be able to get one of these from The Sound Gallery in High Wycombe.

I happen to have one of these I am looking to sell.
