Composite -> VGA

I need to output live feed from a digital camera onto a TFT LCD monitor.

The Canon camera output is a strange bespoke digital lead which terminates with a phono lead. I was thinking that a composite to VGA or DVI would be perfect to display on a standard PC monitor.

Any ideas if this would work and where I would go about finding such a lead.

Not only do you have to convert composite to VGA (not just a matter of a different lead) you may have issues with trying to get video resolutions and timings into a PC monitor expecting PC resolutions and timings. I suspect that you may not beable to achieve what you want. PC monitors and TV's are very different things.
