    Hi fellas,

We have recently purchased a tv that does progressive scan and takes component leads for xbox. I have always used scart. Will composite improve the picture or is RGB Scart the best?

Also, has the forums changed? I seem to remember a forum dedicated to online gaming but it seems to have.. gone! I was gonna go there to hopefully find some new gamers around my age (30) without being called old!! lol

    Cheers in advance,

    Gaz.

i'm pretty sure you meant to say component not composite. and yes using component with progressive scan from a modded xbox with give a much better image than rgb scart

Its not much better using component with a standard UK Xbox, you need to get it chipped then it will output 480p, 720p and 1080i modes.

Then the picture quality is much better. In the Hi- DEF modes its mind blowing, makes RGB scart look like "COMPOSITE" !!!

I went straight from composite to progressive component on my projector and i had a :D for weeks. It really is amazing  especially when you get 720p.
