Hi! My Loewe Xelos 32" has component image In one Scart connection.

    What's the best option?
Buy a PS2 Euro AV cable or a PS component cable + component/Scart adapter?

Does the PS2 Euro AV cable carry component video?

    Thanks!

No, the Euro AV cable isn't wired for component out, the Sony Europe site sells the official component cable for around £15, I ordered one and recieved it within a few days.

I've never heard of a Scart connector carrying a component signal on any make of TV before, Have you found anywhere which sells a scart block with component inputs on it, just interested In taking a look at one.

I'm still using the supllied composite cable...

But I think the PS2 RGB cable with the component output selected should work on Loewe TVs... anyone knows

Just bought a cheap 4.10€ RGB PS2 cable for connecting my Loewe Xelos.

The difference is awesome, and guess what? The component output works too and of course is even better!

    Loewe Rulez... :D

Of course the TV only has one component input, but my DVD player best output is Svideo...

    Good job.

As I hoped, the Component signal (YCrPr) through a SCART connector is carried on the RGB wires. Thus you just switch the output in the PS2 and the input in the TV as you done and voila.

I'm going to bag me one of those Ixos cables.

    Cheers,

    andrew
