    Hey all,
Just about to buy my first projector (Epson TW10H) and im starting to wonder about cabling,

Currently I have all my video sources (PS2, XBOX, Tivo, Tv, digibox) running through my surround sound amp which switches them for me. This is all through composite at the moment but the xbox will be changing to input into the amp by s video next week.

My main question is, I have an advanced connection box for the xbox which offers component and s video. Will it be a noticeable improvement connecting the xbox to the projector using component or will s video more than suffice. I know I can test this myself but I want to avoid buying a load of cables unnessarily!!

    Thanks all.

..before anybody else on here tells you that s-video is a good quality input dont listen to them...it is better than composite but not by much! So if you can always use component.. you will be amazed at the difference!

I have left space for all the short sighted plonkers to add there WRONG opinions below :hiya:

Correction: S-Video is much better than composite but the difference to YUV or RGB is not that big. Often it depends on the equipment though, i.e. S-Video may on occasion outperform YUV or RGB.
