I have a Sony DVD recorder and a Sony TV and at the moment they are connected scart-scart RGB.
The recorder has a component out and the TV has a VGA input is it possible to get a component- VGA cable and if so would it be better than the RGB that I am using now.

    Hope you can help.

The HD15 (VGA) socket may be compatible with a Progressive YUV Component video signal - you'll need to ensure the VGA Input works with Video resolution signals and not just PC signals (there should be a signal compatibility chart in the TV's user manual).

If the VGA socket is compatible then myself and others on the AV Forum can supply the cable you require at whatever length you require.

    Best regards

The TV is a Sony KF-50SX300 and after reading the instructions the HD15 (VGA) has a PC Input with max resolution 1024x768 no mention of video resolution signals.
