I have just bought a pioneer dv-737  and want to use the component out but my tv does not have component in puts. Can i buy a cable to connect the component to the s-video or scart and would it better than my s-video to s-video lead? or am i just wasting my time? any help would be appriciated.

    hi Rich
You cannot buy component to s-video cables, I know on some dvd players you can config the scart to output a component signal and use a scart to component cable. But the scart on your tv will not accept a component signal.
Why not just use RGB scart which would be better than s-video ?

    :)
