    Cheers for that Reiner
But from my understanding dvi-d carries digital only signal, dvi-i carries digital/analogue signals and dvi-a (very rare) carries analogue only signal.
So in theory should i not be able to send an analogue signal from component out(DVD PLAYER) to dvi-i in (LCD TV) providing i had the right cable?
Ati do an adapter for there radeon 9000 series that connects to the dvi-i on there graphics cards and sends it out as component but I need component out to dvi-i in.
    Any ideas?

    Regards Scott

Just because a device has a DVI-I connector does not mean that it will accept an analogue signal! It just means that it is easier for you to find a cable that will fit. Double check the spec on your LCD TV to be sure.
