I have a projector with component and DVI input on the back. My dvd player and xbox 360 are both component and want both of them going in, so basically I need a component to dvi adapter that i can plug my xbox into and (i have a dvi cable already) have a dvi cable going to the pj, or if there is a duel switch of some sort where both components go into it and i can change between the signals?

    Thanks

    Hello CrackDown

You need more than a Switch to accomplish Analogue and Digital Source Input to a single Digital (DVI) Input socket.

You require something to transcode the Analogue signal to a Digital format - usually you require a full blown VP (Video Processor) from the likes of DVDO, Lumagen or PMS.

Gefen have a New 'low cost' unit (approx 300.00 GBP) on the way (scheduled for a Jan 07 release) that gives you two Analogue (Component) with Stereo audio plus two HDMI Inputs and Outputs everything as a single HDMI signal with inbuilt signal scaling - see http://www.gefen.com/kvm/product.jsp?prod_id=4174

    Best regards

    Joe

Jeez, that's pretty expensive. Isn't there such a thing as dual component connections going into 1?
