Short of getting an ISF calibration (bit short of dosh atm) is there a way to adjust the screen size when a dvd is connected via component (using progressive scan on the dvd player) to the panasonic pw7? The problem is that on a 2.35.1 film the bottom black bar is wider than the top ( only a few mm's but I am fussy about this sort of thing) Just to put you in the picture I have a th37pw7 with both a scart board & the dreaded tuner terminal board fitted. I have a scart lead from the dvd player (yamaha dv sl100) direct to the scart board. I also have the compionent leads connected from the player to the tuner box. No leads are going into the AV4 connection on the pw7 apart from the component ones. If I disable the tuner I can access the picture size etc, I can then adjust the image to suit BUT this only works for the rgb scart connection to the plasma, funny thing is it seems that after adjustment & switching off the plasma as soon as I enable the tuner the image has gone back to it's original position! I notice that when I set the dvd player to switch between progressive on or off that it shifts the image slightly, is this normal for progressive or is it the fact that the tuner is doing this? Oh & one other thing, I am very impressed with the image even through the rf picture, ok it's not perfect but the panny tuner seems to be a lot, lot better than the sony wega's one I had in their previously. Any help on this or do I need to contact the dealer?
