I'm changing the connections in my system from composite to component. I have a 75 ohm digital coax (QED QNECT) left over from a previous use.....could I buy two more similar (digi-coax) cables to add to this and give me the 3 phono-phone connections that I need for composite ? - or is thee something more to pre-made 3-phone component cables that I'm not aware of ??

Sorry if this is a bit dumb....

    Thanks...

    Good afternoon,

I have no idea why this would not work? As far as I know it will be fine (there are more qualified people on here to answer this, and no doubt will!)

If you do decide to go down this road, I have one of the same cables you mention, QNECT 2 @ 1metre which you can have for a tenner inc P&P

    Let me know

    Cheers

    Jamie

There is nothing more to it than you are aware of. It's a good idea to use similar types and lengths of cable but you just need 3 75 ohm screened cables.
