Component Inputs on Amps

    What is the point of having component inputs on the rear panel of certain amps, such as Denon a11sr. Surely if the dvd player and tv have these connections what is the benfit of feeding them through the amp?

    What would sir do if had one set of component inputs on his display device and three devices with component output ?

    Same point as having many composite or S-Video inputs: video switching.
