    Hi All

I bought my pw6very cheaply last month,I have my sky connected via a scart sync vga cable and the picture is good.

My dvd surround system is a pany SA-MT1 which also has good picture but I have to disconnect the sky scart from sky and plug it into home theartre to watch dvd( i do not have component on this)

I have about £300 to spend on a dvd home theartre system that must have the 3 component connections to replace the above mentioned.

    The questions are

1...will component be much better than my current set up?
2...Obviously i need a component board for the plasma, so where can i buy one?.....all the places ive contacted wont sell one unless i buy the plasma at the same time and obviusly i dont want to buy another plasma lol
3...what dvd home theartre can i get for about £300 that has component?

    Many Thanks

    Steve

Ps.....sky will still be watched through scart vga sync cable.

You could always pick up a second hand amp and buy a new DVD player. This should give you better sound anyway than a home cinema system.

Or by stretching the budget a bit get a new amp and dvd player.

Answer to question 1. component is a lot better than standard scart. Is your player RGB out? If so a JS RGB to VGA converter would give you even a better picture. To be honest thou I don't know much about scart sync vga cables.

Answer to Question 2. Give AV-Sales a ring. I think they might be able to supply the board, I'm sure someone on here said they do. Not 100% thou..
