    Hello,

I've read as much as I can about progressive scan component, etc, but I am still confused!

I am looking at getting a plasma which has the following input specification:

    YPbPr: 480i, RGB-PC: 480i/p, 720p, 1080i

I have a H/K DVD22 player which output NTSC/PAL progressive scan via its component outputs.

Does the plasma specs above indicate that I won't be able to receive a progressive scan signal from the DVD player?

What about a Component -> PC VGA cable? Would this work for progressive scan component? (it mentions 480i/p in the PC VGA specs).

Thanks very much for taking the time to help me,

From those specs it says it wont work.

Component to the VGA will not work either.

To do what you want you need a transcoder to change 480P YPrPb to RGBHV colourspace. Even doing that it looks like this plasma will not accept 576P (pal progressive) in any format
