    Can anyone help me?

I am in the process of buying the new Panasonic DMRES10 DVD recorder, which i was planning to replace my Toshiba sd220 (which i am very happy with).

I have an Infocus X1 projector situated 10m away from the dvd player, a decent 10m component cable is big bucks, for the cable I only have a budget of about 60 pounds which thanks to posts from another thread i planned to buy a Van Damme..

However i am thinking of keeping my current player (tosh. sd220), just for projector viewing and place it next to the projector, cabled up with 1m of Mark Grant component cable and keeping my new Panny for the kids dvd on my 28 and obviously for use as a recoder from sky, the main reasom i`m buying it..

Which would be my best option? Would the Panny give much better dvd playback (with a lesser, longer lead)than my Toshiba (with a better shorter one)

    Cheers for any help?

    Steve?
