I ordered (what I thought) were component leads to connect my DVD to my panny tuner. It's a Techlink cable 3 RCA to RCA - is this a component lead ????- the reason i ask is the colours on the connectors don't match with the leads - on the leads the colours are red black and yellow - (which doesn't correspond with PR / PB and Y)

even matching the leads with the tuner and DVD produces no picture.

have I bought the wrong cable ????

Yeah, sounds like you ordered a composite one (yellow) with audio (red and black) rather than a component one...

Check out the power buys for component leads or www.scorpioncables.co.uk

Should still give a picture though. Sounds like you haven't selected something in a menu somewere. Whilst all video leads should have a 75ohm impedance for the best results, any phono lead should still work.
