Just wanted to check whether the BNC 'Component/SVHS/Composite
Dual Slot Terminal Board', being offered by AV Sales, would
    a) Offer the same quality component PQ as a dedicated component board
    b) Whether, using this board and having connections into both Component and Composite would allow me to use the PiP option.

I have the board you speak off, effectivly this is exactly the same board as the component board.... then you get s-video (handy for DV cameras) and the other terrible one to the other slot.

I'm not sure you would even want to use the composite connection... I tried the S-video and that's bad enough (not bad but never as good as progressive).. and I couldn't tell you if that means you can use PiP (I thought you need the tuner for that?)

I have had both cards... both are the same... :)

by the way, I tried the PiP with s-video and component and it works fine, although I can't see myself using it... had a little fun with it though

I've got the dual slot board. PiP works fine but it's not really that useful for me & the extra money I paid for the dual board over the single slot component board hasn't really been worth it.

    HTH :)

But you still get the benefit of being able to connect 2 devices in at the same time. Admitedly the S-Video/Composite iisnt as good as the component connection

That was the general idea but as I've routed everything through the 3805 it's not turned out to be a great idea :D
