I am looking to connect a SONY DAVD500 to my PWD8, so may require a component board.

I notice that on the av-sales website there are 2 - a BCI for £70, and an RCA for £135.

Which is the correct one?????

/confused

you mean BNC, both work just fine, BNC is best and this means you need either a RCA to BNC cable for your DVD (which Av Sales also sell) and this will bring it up to teh same cost as RCA board (more or less) or the cheaper alternative is to buy RCA to BNC adapters that cost about £6 for 3 to use with an existing RCA to RCA component cable

Okay ... confused!

The Sony has component out - so there are two forms of component connections, is that right??

Cool.

Thanks for that!!

Do you think connecting component rather than RGB Scart to component via converter, to PCI is the better option PQ-wise?

A straight connection with as little conversion between the two pieces of equipment is best. So if you can, component to component is your best choice.

Cheers

Andy

Ended up ordering the BNC from Av-Sales and the RCAtoBNC cable. Ordered yesterday, arrived today. Excellent Service !!
