    Hi,

I've currently got my Sky+ and DVD input to my 3802 via svideo, then output to my plasma again via the svideo. I'm guessing I'm losing out quite a bit here because I'm not using my componant outputs? If I output from my dvd to amp via componant then to my plasma (again via componant) I cant see there been a problem, however can I put svideo from my Sky+ to svideo input on my 3802 then output from my amp to componant on my plasma?!? I hope this makes sence!!
    Cheers,
    Col

    NO

    I don't own the 3802 but I don't think this is possible.
The 3802 will not convert the S-Video Input into a Component output.

I am sure someone with more experience can give a more detailed aswers as to why.

I think the new yamaha DSP-AZ2 does some type of conversion but I would assume this would be Composite to S-Video.

    Hope this helps

Nope, the 3802 does not do video-conversion. You can however connect both (Sky+ via S-Video and DVD via Component, perhaps directly to save some cables) and just switch the input at the plasma.

    Bleach,

Your setup is ideal for the JS Tech RGB to Component box from www.rgbtosvideo.com

I use it to allow me to connect all my sources via component.

    Kind Regards,

    James
