Thanks for looking and for any help that you guys can provide.

Basically I have selected a DLP but now need to know what else I should be looking for ie DVD Player, Recorder, av system.

    I want to watch Dvd's, Sky, Play music, Ps2 & Xbox 360.

Budget is a consideration but quality and function are also.

I've read too much and I'll confused by the whole thing.

You want a least a progressive scan DVD or better still, a PC media player with TheatreTek and relevant plug-ins which acts as a scaler (best thing next to a real HD source) For the money (budget_) this has to be the best buy as it gets away from most of the other stuff (DVD, CD Music etc) and with Music plug ins your whole music collection can be collated and info added from the web etc.

A good separate 5.1 amp (at least) with digital optical or coax inputs and SPDIF which helps with lip sync problems suffered by some films and Sky content recorded and played back later.;)

As you can see, I chose Panasonic and I am very very happy despite it being a 'cheap' systems in some purists eyes.

    Cheers :hiya:
