Monthly Photo Competition

RULES

1: Pictures entered must be owned and taken by the forum member entering the competition.

Now this rule seems to generate debate which can only be a good thing but to try and clarify!

Taken means that the sole idea and technical expertise through planning and design, acquired the final result!
If an individual then uses another person to trigger the shot or influence the capture in any way then ownership should still belong to the creator and originator of the initial idea!

2: No archive shots are allowed, so for any given monthly competition all photos must have been taken within the month that particular competition ran, from the time of the opening launch and discussion thread is posted, until the stipulated time it is due to end. This rule must be adhered to or else the photo will be disallowed.

3: For the interest of other forum members please try and include, Camera used, Shutter Speed, Aperture, ISO and focal length and any post processing that may have been done.

However, to determine a photo's legitimacy to rule #2 exif must be left embedded in the image alternatively link to the original image with EXIF available hosted elsewhere - e.g. Flickr, Photobucket etc.else the photo may be disallowed.

PLEASE NOTE, IF ANYONE IS UNSURE HOW TO PRESERVE EXIF AND FOR ANYONE USING SOFTWARE THAT STRIPS EXIF THEN SO LONG AS THE ORIGINAL PICTURE CAN BE EMAILED TO [email protected] THEN THE PICTURE WILL BE ALLOWED.

4: Only one entry per member and only one picture per thread are allowed.

5: Photos can be any be any size as they will be reduced to 800 pixels against the longest edge anyway!

6: Once posted, the entry is final. No change of entry will be allowed (unless the original photo does not adhere to the above rules)

7: No 'adult' themed photos will be accepted.

8: If you enter, you must vote. Not voting will result in your entry being withdrawn. You are not allowed to vote for your own entry.

9: Any judgement on interpretation of the above rules will be made by Zone.

10: Any moderator decision in respect of the competition and entries will be final.

Also as a courtesy; I've been asked to add a little disclaimer that any entries can be added to the AVForums Instagram page; a link will be added back to your Flickr page if you have one, so you may get more traffic too :)

Any questions regarding the rules should be directed in PM to Zone or emailed to [email protected]
