I first ventured into home cinema a few years ago and to be honest for the small living room that we have (6 yrds x 5yrds) the Yamaha amp supplied speaker kit has given us many hours of listening pleasure. If i was now to change spkrs what would you guys recommend. Our DVD is a chipped Tosh SD-210EB, Sony 32" not f/screen.
Our watching pleasure is quite wide ranging, from recent Indy Jones, Black Halk Down, True Romance, X-Files, Final Destination .....I could go on and on and lastly I prefer DTS to THX.
    Any comments or suggestions appreciated.

May i ask as to how you prefer DTS to THX when a Yamaha 595a has no THX processing?

    Regards

    Steven

Thanks Steven, will try and listen to them in one of the few specialist dealerships we have in Glasgow.
You are quite correct about the absence of a THX processor on board my old(ish) amp. At the time i bought it listened to a number of amps and took the view that the cost of an amp that could decode both did not justify George Lucas' penchant for THX.
