I'm currently looking to buy either the Philips 26PF8946, the Sharp LC26GA5 or the Hitachi 28LD5200. I'm trying to compare response times, and the Philips and the Sharp both quote 16ms, whereas Hitachi say: "The response time for the 28LD5200 is 26ms, however with the special overdrive circuit inside the unit the response time is lessened to 13ms."

Does this mean that the Hitachi has a faster or slower response time than the others? Any other helpful comments welcome. Thanks.

Personally I would steer clear of the Hitachi 28. Its now obsolete also. Would recommend the Sharp 26 GA5 or if the wallet will allow the new Hitachi 32PD7200 is superb and comes with a motorised stand. New 26" Hitachi will also shortly be available
