At the moment, my study has 4 bookshelf speakers, connected to an old but good yammaha 5.1 and aI have a cheap passive subwoofer connected to an aging 60's amp!
All well and good, and sounds fine for me, but the place is due for a revamp, with new desks, in new positions, and inevitably my big bookshelf speakers will need to go - and my sub is looking precarious too.
The system is used for gaming, some music, some films - so there's no point spending too much (by that I mean £600 plus)
Since the place is haviong a full revamp, insetting speakers into the bookshelves propperly as an in wall solution seems interesting. Kef eggs is probably the easiest solution. And what do I do about the sub......
I'd welcome any suggestions. Budget £700 tops - less if poss.
