Ive decided to scan loads of old photos and put them on Flickr or Photobucket (or maybe another) and give access to friends and family. Also so that I can view the photos through my PS3 on my TV screen any time I like. The problem is using a reasonable resolution its taking bloody ages !! and the print quality isnt even that good as the colours look a bit dull, despite messing about with the software settings.
I know Im going to get bored pretty quick and wondered if anyone has used any commercial companies to do the job for them?:smashin:

I got a quote from commercial companies (not cheap) and decided I'd be better off buying a decent dedicated second hand scanner (eg Nikon Coolscan). I haven't got round to doing it yet, but I've read that the results are fantastic (see amazon reviews) and it's virtually free once you sell the scanner on.
