    Hi folks,

    Just before xmas I bought a Panny TH-58PZ800B. I also have V+ (vip package) a PS3 / Xbox 360 / Wii

I'm just about to buy the following:

    Onkyo TX-SR606 AV receiver

With a range of Mordaunt Short speakers:
Front : MS 914i (floor standers)
    Centre : MS 905i
    Sub : MS Alumni 9
    Rear : MS Alumni 2

I could have just gone for the Alumni system all round but thought the fronts would benefit from being bi-wireable (and centre) and give better base response too.
All this is from Richer sounds (L'pool) for £898 without cables, which I've worked out to be about £100 so that's a grand all in.

looks a good system, i almost got it last week, in the end i went for:

2 off sets of Tannoy Mercury f4 floorstanders
    Tannoy Mercury centre
    keff cube 1 sub
    Denon1909
    3m sub cable
    hdmi lead
    30metres speaker cable
    20 banana plugs

    from Superfi £1036 after discount

To be honest the driving force was my misses who prefered the look of the f4s over the 914s

I think as systems goes theres not much in it, looks like a great setup

Thanks a lot, I was hoping people could let me know whether they saw something in my proposed set up that looked particularly weak.

I, like a lot of people who post hear do so after a couple of weeks of price matching and reading reviews understanding that there's no one solution to any problem but tend to look for general approval and or the consensus on an issue.
