LINK - Has anyone got any of these digital versions, some collections go back to 44yrs
Looks very interesting. I could go for the Avengers set.
What a brilliant idea, thanks for the link, I had no idea such DVD-ROM's existed! Will definitely be going for some of these!
Unfortunatly most of them have "Shipping: Currently, item can be shipped only within the U.S." on the details
The Spiderman one ships internationally. Or try here;
Thanks raigraphixs - you haven't used that site before by any chance?
These will be region 1. My PC will only be region 2 I imagine. Any hacks?
Thanks in advance
No, ....has anyone else?
These are DVD-ROMs, not DVD-Video, region codes don't apply. I'm sure they will work on any PC with a DVD drive.
Thanks for the replys. I'm not that up on PCs.
WOW! i heard about this...i want!!
Anyone seen these for sale in the UK yet? I don't really want to get hit by customs from Amazon.
I had a look around but couldn't find anything?
My local comics store in Birmingham - Nostalgia & Comics - has them for sale, for about £30 each. (Some are a little bit more, some a little bit less.)
All the comics come as adobe Acrobat PDF files, complete, uncut and uncensored, including all the original adverts, exactly as they were originally printed for publication. Each issue can then be printed out on A4 paper too. The quality is supposed to be outstanding! The sets generally come on 3-4 DVD-Roms, or 6-8 CD-Roms, depending on the title you are buying.
I quite fancy getting the Complete MAD Magazine release that's available. The shops address and phone number is: 14-16 Smallbrook Queensway, Birmingham, B5 4EN. They're about a 5-10 minute walk from New Street train station in the centre of Birmingham, and can also be telephoned on: 0121-643-0143.
Thanks for that info Pooch - do you know whether they do postal orders?
Best bet is to phone them up directly, and speak to the store staff, who will be able to tell you what the rules are regarding payment and orders for customers not-in-store-at-time-of-purchase.
More than likely, they probably would do, but just check in case.
Thanks Pooch - these sets sound amazing.
If they print out reasonably well, then even better.
